DJ Anthera discovered electronica music in late ‘99/early ’00. He set foot into his first rave at the Masterdome in San Bernardino, California. This was where the birth of DJ Anthera into the rave scene took place. He found an unconditional love and devotion to trance music as he heard more and more of the uplifting melodies, and euphoric sensations that it gave him.

As time went by, he started to gain a collection of CD’s of all the tracks he could find that fit his style of hard trance, melodic trance, epic trance, euphoric trance, uplifting trance, and anthem trance. A couple of years later, as his collection grew more massively, the conception of DJ Anthera took place. Not really ever thinking about becoming a DJ, he one day stumbled upon a pair of Pioneer CDJ’s at a Sam Ash store and decided to throw a couple of his CD’s in and try to mix. Catching on quickly, he became hooked and couldn’t leave the tables. From then on, day after day for many months, he would visit this Sam Ash store, learning new tricks, getting deeper into his music, and realizing that this is what he wanted to do.

As 2006 rolled around, DJ Anthera decided that he wanted to take his passion to the next level and began helping to throw house parties where he performed his sets of older music from the ‘99/’00 anthem era (hence the name “Anthera”), and gained a following of fans. Those house parties marked the first public performances of DJ Anthera. As 2007 came, he began to make more of a name for himself when he decided to start his own production/promotion company called Euphoric Electronic Entertainment, and his fan base grew even more. By 2008, he was considered to be one of the biggest local Southern California DJ’s. It was at this point that he decided to use his healthy forward momentum to keep going. During the year of 2008, he began to explore into other styles of EDM, such as tech-house, minimal house, dirty electro house, and fidget house, getting a taste for different flavors of music that made the body move on the dancefloor.

At the end of 2008, he announced that he’d be going into a new direction with his music as he moved into 2009, since he discovered a love and passion for tech-trance. From the dark, to the hard, to the light, and to the extremely technical, DJ Anthera has artistically made it happen, and has grown with this new direction like the snowball effect! 2009 also marked the year where he has dived head first into producing EDM.

Since the beginning of his career, DJ Anthera has still performed at many house parties, southern California rave parties, Jonathan Morning’s “Sundaize” gatherings, and other private events. He has played alongside many well known, world renowned artists such as: DJ Irene, Starkillers, Uber Zone, Lange, Swedish Egil, Hatiras, Dyloot, 4Strings, Simply Jeff, Nicholas Bennison, Thee-O, Josh David, DITO, DuMonde, Kristina Sky, Speaker Junkies, Donald Glaude, Reza, Frankie Bones, Michael Liu, just to name a few. In the beginning of 2009, he hooked up with DJ Flash to form a collaboration in which they called “Audible Noize”. As this collaboration, they play the hardest pumping beats of electro house, dirty electro, and fidget house. Working well together on the decks, their use of effects, mixing, and track selection has been compared to the style of MSTRKRFT, The Bloody Beetroots, and similar artists.
